I haven't used the chopper. I should point out that the handle appears to be a hard plastic handle, not wooden as the survey has stated. I bought this as a gift.

My three year old and four year old children use this primarily for bananas. They cut a cucumber once and it cut fine as well. I imagine semi-soft cheeses would cut nicely too. Handle is perfect size for their hands.
