I love these pencils and searched high and low for the best, natural and ergonomic/developmentally supportive pencils for the 3 - 6 age group. Jolly Kinderfest is the best--hands down. They are expensive but worth it. Montessori Services has the best deal with this company, as only specialized art stores typically stock this brand, but MS has the best price.
I rated the pencils down a notch, not because of the quality. The pencils are a quality product. I have been using them for years and was looking to refurbish my supply. The issue was that I was looking for the thicker, preschool-style Jolly pencils and was under the impression I had found them. However, these pencils have a regular pencil circumference. (I've been trying to find the thick style Jolly pencil for some time and am now thinking the company has discontinued the line.) I am keeping my order though. I'll use them.
