I purchased this bowl to use in making small batches (3oz) of balms/lotions. I is nice and heavy so it wouldn't tip over on use and is wide enough to easily use utensils to empty it. I also purchased the smallest size. If you buy multiples of the same size they stack which is nice for storing.
I purchased these when my baby was 6 months old and we began the Montessori weaning process. They were a little big for him. Now at 18 months old, these bowls are a good size, and don't tip when he uses the spoon to scoop. We use these for regular meals as well as snacks. They are very sturdy and none have broken. I coordinate these bowls with glass snack plates (6 inches) and the first glasses. It looks wonderful.
My 2 and 3 year old use these bowls all the time, for everything from cereal to soup. The bowls are just the right size portion and easy for for them to carry from table to sink. Love them!
