This apple slicer was a great time saver until it broke just weeks after I purchased it. I was cutting apples for the kids lunch and it broke into about 5 pieces!
I was really looking forward to having my son cut his own apples. I had one when I was a child and loved it. Unfortunately, this one is not sharp enough. Even I struggle with using it! I actually contemplated returning it for a refund :(

Dear Zebaby, We are so sorry that you did not have a good experience with the Apple Divider. This is one of our favorite items. To make this a more successful experience for children, we suggest rocking the divider back-and-forth to first pierce the skin before pushing though the apple. Children may also need to stand and use their body leverage to cut through the apple. Finally, though this divider will slice through most apples, apple firmness varies a great deal by variety and children will have more success when cutting through less firm apples.
