We use the peace rose to enable children to settle disputes themselves. We have used the rose for several years so really enjoy having the book to go with what we do.

This is my school's favorite book for helping children with conflict resolution. We keep it on the Peace Table and the children actively use it as they self calm and work on finding workable solutions to their their conflict. It also supports the children as they develop a healthy sense of optimism and empowers them to understand they can find win-win solutions.

My almost 3 year old daughter loves this book, and it gives me a great opportunity to talk to her about relationship skills. After reading this book, she asked to have a peace rose in our home, which seemed like a great suggestion to me. It is amazing how having this prop in her hand seems to calm her down and allow her to communicate better with me in times of frustration.

I've introduced this book during gardening class. The students then established their vase and peace rose in their classrooms. It's a wonderful way to begin the peace curriculum!
