A delightful story of a young father sharing his everyday activities with his two-year old son. Together they prepare breakfast, work on the car, mulch the garden, and work at their tool benches.
An afterward shows parents how these experiences help Andy to bond with Daddy, develop confidence and competence, lengthen his span of concentration and form a good self-image. Contains 67 full-color photographs. 48 pages.

Andy and His Daddy
I love this book I love the concrete examples of how capable two-year-olds are.
I was excited to receive this book as a gift for my toddler community, but very disappointed in the story. It has such good intentions, but doesn't really reflect today's world. The story is about a toddler who helps his parents around the house, which is wonderful, but it takes place in a very sexist time where women do the housework and men work at the office and tinker around in the garage on the weekends. I really want to like this book, but don't feel comfortable sharing it in a time where we are trying to empower our children to not have "gender roles.
