I used these books years ago when my children were of the age to understand them and they loved them. I recently purchased the entire Ruth Heller collection for my grandchildren. Their moms were ecstatic about them. The text presents grammatical ideas in an interesting way and the illustrations are beautiful.

This is another of Ruth Heller's marvelous series about the parts of speech - verbs. Her brilliant art combined with informative and provocative rhyming draw the children in the classroom into the discussion of the various aspects of the verb in English. Combines visual and auditory stimulation and the children remember the information therefore.
