Kalimba Thumb Piano Cultural instrument made from a coconut
I was totally disappointed with this product. It is beautifully painted but worthless as an instrument! I have another kalimba that plays a scale and can be played along with other instruments. This item is not tuned in any way. Sadly, it will cost me almost it's price to return it, so I'm just out the $. Maybe at another time they were supplied with quality instruments, but this is beautiful junk. 😢

As part of our cultural shelves, the piano sits on a homemade stand. My assistant or I occasionally pick it up and pluck out some notes to let the children hear the sounds. It never fails to stop the fidgeting and nervousness at the end of the long day. Now children are learning to respectfully take it to their work space and pluck out some notes on their own. Again, the room gets silent and all ears are focused on the little sounds. We are all learning how to tune it and play a real melody!
