When children learn how to sew on a button, they have a skill that will serve them for a lifetime.
This activity is ideal for children who have had practice working with a needle and have mastered the running stitch. It allows children to practice more complex sewing tasks, such as measuring and cutting thread, threading a sharp needle, tying knots, and sewing buttons to fabric.
Developed by an experienced Montessori teacher this set is part of the Sequential Sewing Activities Series (V417). It is color-coded and includes presentation suggestions and extensions. Items may vary from those shown. Ages 4½+.
