Miss Rhonda's Readers Set 1 Set of 8 books for beginning readers from Miss Rhonda's Readers
I have been searching different phonetic readers for that step after they can read and do something like the Bob ones, but before introducing any (or at least many) phonograms. These are my top two right now and I'll probably get the other sets. They are indeed mostly phonetic, and most of the non phonetic words are sight / puzzle words and not so much phonograms. The pictures are cute, there is a story threading the whole book together - and these stories are generally cute or funny. Only complaint (and I'm nit picking here) is that the books within the set are not numbered so there's no way to know at a glance what the progression is

Dear Lucia,
We are so glad to hear that you love this series. According to the author, "There is, in fact, no particular order" for the presentation of these titles. "Pink Pig" and "Sniff Sniff" are usually the first two that are read but this series is not sequential. All the books are written at the same skill level and can be read in any order.
Thank you very much for your review.
All the best,

My beginning readers loved the color and stories in this little books, and were quite impressed with their own reading abilities to follow such content. Thank you, Miss Ronda!
Miss Rhonda's Readers Set 1 Set of 8 mostly phonetic books
I sat down with my 3-1/2 year old grandson who knows all of the phonetic sounds but hadn't tried to read a new book by himself yet. We started with Pink Pig. He was able to sound out all of the words and really enjoyed the story. It's just the right blend of challenge and content.
